At just over 4 lbs, the North Face Prophet 65 backpack is North Face's lightest, large capacity backpack. As climbers tend to carry a plethora of equipment to their base camp, including the kitchen sink, the Prophet 65 was designed to haul this equipment, at the same time making the trek as comfortable, secure and pleasant as possible. Hot spots and chafing on the back are eliminated with a wide area Aerofoam backpanel, while shoulder straps and hipbelts sport a superb ventilation system. Lightweight, carbon stays form the suspension system. External loops, straps and attachments secure ice tools, shovels, ropes, etc. and if you're intent on pulling a sled to the North Pole, sled and gear loops are located on the hipbelt. The Prophet 65 is a great pack for carrying your stuff, whether alpine climbing and mountaineering.
