The North Face XTC Lightweight Pant is your basic layering piece and your first line of defense against loss of body heat. Made with Bamboo Charcoal technology, the XTC pant has 50% more wicking power than traditional polyester thermals. Charcoal is used in water purification systems to filter out the repugnant swamp water taste. In like manner bamboo charcoal fibers inhibits the raunchy smell of body odor that always seem to accumulate after high aerobic activities. Seams are flat-locked for superior comfort, UV protection is UPF 50+, and the fine texture of the fabric is like wearing an expensive silk shirt. This is the base layer you want for trekking, trail running, skiing, or mountaineering.
