The VE 25 is The North Face's most sought after 3-person, 4-season expedition tent. It is considered to be one of the ultimate, base camp expedition tents in TNF collection. At almost 12 lbs, the VE 25 is much more than a backpacking tent. This is a tent you will take to your base camp, set up and live in, for in indefinite period of time. As such you want, and expect it to be comfortable and roomy, constructed of only the finest material and to provide you with unparalleled protection from the elements, in other words - bombproof. U. S. standards for waterproof material is 1,000 mm of coating. The rain fly of the VE 25 is 1,500 mm and the bottom of the bucket floor is 10,000 mm. The stability of the dome design is achieved through the use of continuous poll sleeves, which maximizes the stretch of the canopy, thus distributing the pressure and weight of snow, rain and wind across the entire canopy. Easy access/exits are through dual doors, each with its own vestibule. The floor space is a whopping 48 sq ft, and the front vestibule provides an additional 10 sq ft of storage space. Coming home late at night, you'll appreciate the reflective guyline loops, guylines and glow-in-the dark zipper pulls. A #2 Gear Loft will give you extra storage space, while internal pockets will keep your small items organized. Comes with a compression stuff sack.
