The North Face Trailhead 6 tent is definitely a family/group camping tent, which will accommodate up to six heartbeats. It’s ideal for girl's camp, scout camp or SUV family car camping. Take it to the lake, the mountains, the desert or the sand dunes, it will function equally well in every environment. Nice features of the Trailhead 6 are the two drop-down dividers that separate the tent into sleeping compartments. Should the weather threaten rain, the rain fly, once it's secured over the canopy provides a whopping 25 sq ft of additional enclosed space in the front vestibule, and a smaller, but functional 6 sq ft in the rear vestibule. One or the other vestibule is a great place to stash wet clothing, boots, and the family dog. Sturdy, aluminum alloy poles, inserted into continuous pole sleeves, provide the support for the tent structure, while walls are kept taut by clips that attach to the poles. Two, large D-shaped doors provide access to the tent, while several internal pockets and hang loops serve to keep the living space organized and free of clutter. If kids inhabit the tent, the addition of #2 gear lofts are essential accessories for storing loose articles that otherwise would eventually qualify as lost and found items.
