The North Face Solo 12 is a revolutionary new design in The North Face Flight Series of ultralight tents. Designed as a 1-person, 3-season tent and based on the idea that fast and light adventures demand minimal gear weight, the Solo 12 has an astounding trail weight of only 2 lbs 2 oz. Like a spectator watching a magician act, we ask, "How was it done?" Primary weight reduction was achieved through the use of single-wall construction, waterproof fabric and fully taped seams. But what about ventilation we ask, a watertight compartment is equivalent to living in a sauna! The solution was an overhead vent, coupled with a low, back-of-tent vent that provides for strong cross-tent ventilation. Cyclists and minimalist hikers will absolutely love the Solo 12 with its pole-sleeve and ultralight mircoclips set-up, large 'L' shaped entry door and reflective guylines that keep you from tripping over things in the night.
