The North Face Heron 23 is a new and improved version of the traditional backcountry 2-person, 3-season tent that North Face has always offered. Built to withstand years of use in the field, this easy to set-up, free-standing tent has excellent ventilation and a room with a view. North Face has found that by varying the thickness of the aluminum at different places on the tent pole, a different arch can be achieved, one that is flatter on the top and steeper on the sides. This technological improvement maximizes the interior space and provides greater headroom for the occupants. Total weight has been reduced with the introduction of a hub and spoke system for securing tent poles, and the use of microclips for attaching the canopy to the poles. The floor is fully taped, high-low vents circulate the air and internal storage pockets and hang loops keep you so well organized that not even your mother would have to pickup after you.
