The North Face Men's Nuptse Jacket is a 700 fill, goose down jacket with an exceptionally high warmth-to-weight ratio for cold conditions, making it North Face's 2nd most popular cold weather jacket - the Denali jacket being first. The Nuptse is a serious cold weather jacket found not only on the ski slopes of Snowbird and at mountaineering base camps, but also on the sidewalks of New York and Chicago. Ah, Chicago in the winter time, when the biting, bone numbing wind comes whipping off Lake Michigan and freezes you solid before you can make it to the door of your office building, that's when you know it's Nuptse time. Should you forget your hat the Nuptse has an emergency hood. For additional protection and warmth, the shoulders have a double layer of taffeta. Pockets include two hand pockets, and an internal zippered horizontal pocket into which the jacket can be stowed. Sleeves are Velcro adjustable, and the jacket is highly compressible should you need to store it.
