| Read Reviews | Average Rating: | Quite warm for ... 12-29-05 Eric Quite warm for how thin and lightweight it feels! It kept me toasty warm while walking two miles home from work in 7 degree temps. I love that it isn’t bulkly and that it insulates when wet. This luscious jacket stuffs into its pocket. Review this product |

How can a jacket that is as thin and lightweight as the North Face Redpoint jacket be as warm and comfortable as a traditional down jacket, yet with less than half the bulk? Individuals who have worn this amazing jacket report it to be exceptionally warm, even in below freezing weather, yet it's so skinny compared to a bulky down jacket or vest. The revolutionary insulation in this technical jacket is a wafer thin layer of PrimaLoft, an ultrafine microfiber with impressive thermal properties. If you were to lay a swatch of PrimaLoft in your hand, you could actually feel warmth being generated as compared to the other hand containing no PrimaLoft. The Redpoint also functions as a zip in liner with selected North Face shell jackets. When not in use, the jacket will stow in its left pocket, making a package the size of brown bag lunch. After having worn a PrimaLoft garmet, it's doubtful if you’ll ever go back to wearing down. Kimball Jones gives this jacket two thumbs up.
