The North Face Terra 40 backpack is a large capacity daypack for long hikes. It's the pack you'll use when you set out in the morning with expectations of being back at your vehicle that evening. It's the right pack for hauling your climbing gear to the base of the cliff, or the indoor climbing wall. It will even haul your week's wash to the Laundromat. The Terra 40 is a top loading pack with a bungee system on the front pocket that lets you secure gear you may need quick access to, such as a rain jacket or a fleece pullover, or for holding wet shoes. A single aluminum stay gives rigidity to the pack, while a stitched foam backpanel provides cushioning for your back. Compression straps will cinch your load closer to your body for more efficient carrying, and can also fasten hiking poles when not in use. Tool loops are provided, as are dual water bottle pockets. A large front zippered pocket will help keep your small items organized, and best of all, the Terra 40 is hydration system compatible, meaning there's a separate sleeve for holding an additional hydration reservoir.
