The North Face Skareb 40 Backpack with a load capacity of [L] 2750 cu in (45 liters) is the smaller version of the Skareb 55 Backpack. This pack was designed with the minimalist in mind, the individual who packs light, travels fast and is to the summit and back before nightfall. To achieve maximum support with minimal weight, the Skareb utilizes North Face’s X-Frame suspension system. Lightweight hollow aluminum stays that form an X-pattern are strategically placed to run from the top of the pack to the hip-belt, effectively transferring the load to the hips. Weight reduction is further achieved by using an engineered perforated framewheet to provide strength and support to the pack, at the same time allowing increased airflow between the backpacker's back and the pack support. Airflow means less sweat. Alpine trekkers will appreciate the lightweight, contoured hip-belt with its 3-point closure system, the right side water bottle pocket and the left side rain cover divider, with rain cover included. Additional features include tool loop, top accessory pocket, quick-pull front cord compression system and trekking pole loops. Contemplating done-in-a-day, fast and light, then think Skareb 40.
