Because every dinner meal deserves a treat, Mountain House figured out a way to freeze dry real ice cream. It looks and tastes just like the real thing, which it is of course, only it doesn't melt in your bowl, it melts in your mouth. Kimball Jones, who spent five months rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, had a number of these ice cream deserts with him. He readily proclaims their desirability as an after-dinner treat. Says Kimball Jones, "one slice lasted a long time, in fact, by breaking off small pieces and sucking on them, I could make one last the entire morning." Made with vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors.
