The Brunton Titanium Spork is not the lightest of the lightweight eating utensil available for backpacking, but it's certainly the most practical. On your way out of town, you could always stop by your local McDonalds and grab a few plastic knives and forks. From a practicality standpoint, the Spork just makes good sense. With regards to a full set of flatware, why carry more than you absolutely need? If you can't get it into your mouth with a Spork - well there could be some issues here. The Brunton Spork offers a compact alternative to the fork and spoon; it's light, but strong and the smooth surface of the Spork makes for pleasurable eating.
