The Adventure Medical Wound Closure Kit is for wilderness trauma injuries that are beyond the scope of a couple of adhesive bandages. Serious cuts and lacerations need to be cleansed, disinfected and stitched; however, out in the field, stitching most likely will not be available. In such cases, would closure strips or butterfly strips are the next best thing, and they actually do a good job of patching things up. The Wound Closure Kit contains all the items needed to treat substantial lacerations, and is compact enough to fit in the cargo pocket of your hiking shorts. Essential items include 10cc irrigation syringe, disinfectant solutions, antiseptic towelettes, sterile dressings and wound closure strips. Items enclosed in a waterproof, clear vinyl pouch.
